This is the homepage of the Historical Archive at Flavio Machicado Viscarra Foundation (AH-FFMV), located in La Paz, Bolivia.
The Archive is a collection of family documents corresponding to different generations of the Machicado, Viscarra and Saravia families. This documentation makes reference to important different socio political moments of Bolivia's rich history, including the Pacific War, the rubber trade, mining, etc.
The catalogue of the Historical Archive is under development. Work started in August 2011 thanks to a grant from PLALA (Program for Latin American Libraries and Archives), an initiative of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Harvard.
